Cycling miles for Sport Relief

March 20th, 2012 at 17:02

Friday 23rd March is almost upon us and Bicester Health Club are doing their bit for Sport Relief!

From 9.00am members are welcome enjoy Tea and Cakes in the reception, probably best to enjoy after your gym workout, studio class or swim!

You can also come and support the team for the of the 12 hour Bike challenge.

Our Target

Our target is to reach 300KM in 12 hours, so maintaining an average speed of 25kph throughout, which will be no easy tasks. The gym, reception, administration and management staff are all putting in a shift on the bike to help us achieve the distance which is the equivalent of traveling from Bicester to Plymouth, so it is no easy task!

Who’s involved

Nigel The Health Club Manager will be starting things off at 8.00am and hoping to get us off to a flyer!

We will then have a mixture of fitness instructors and staff of varying fitness levels throughout the day until the challenge finishes at 8.00pm.

The bike will be set up in the Health Club and Spa Reception area and all donations are welcome.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the great cause that is Sport Relief.

It’s not quite a challenge of Epic David Walliams proportions but still a great charity event to raise important funds for projects around the world.
